PRESIDED OVER LANDMARK CASES
     • Judge Edwards has handled numerous complex litigation with
        national impact including the class action certification for fen-phen
     • The largest civil action in the history of Montgomery County with
        600 plaintiffs and 120 defendants (National Medical Enterprises
        and their psychiatric hospitals including "Laurelwood")
     • Judge Edwards has never been reversed on any of the numerous
        capital murder cases over which he has presided
     • Judge Edwards was the first judge in the county to certify a class
        action ordering medical monitoring of all persons in Texas who
        had consumed the diet drug known as "fen phen"
     • Chairman of the National State Judiciary Advisory Council for
        the Federal Multiple District Litigation involving the 4.5 billion
        dollar settlement of the fen-phen class action
     • Presided over all asbestos litigation in Montgomery County
